The African Parliamentary Union (APU) and the Asian-African Parliamentary Council (AAPC) have officially approved a decision granting each party observer status with the other.

This decision aims to enhance parliamentary cooperation between Asian and African countries, and to exchange experiences between the parliamentary bodies in the two regions, contributing to the development of common policies and strengthening constructive parliamentary dialogue.
