The General Secretariat plays a pivotal role in coordinating the work of the Council, following up on the implementation of the decisions of the Presidential Bureau, and managing joint programs and initiatives among member states.
It also plays a vital role in strengthening communication among national parliaments by providing an effective platform for the exchange of expertise and best parliamentary practices, thereby enhancing legislative and political cooperation between Asia and Africa.
Furthermore, the General Secretariat organizes meetings and conferences, documents recommendations, and follows up on the implementation of joint initiatives and projects that support sustainable development goals and promote peace and stability in the region.
