The Secretary-General plays a central role in coordinating the work of the Council, monitoring the implementation of the decisions of the Presidential Bureau, and managing joint programs and initiatives among member states.
The General Secretariat plays a vital role in enhancing communication between national parliaments and providing a platform for exchanging experiences and best parliamentary practices, thereby strengthening legislative and political cooperation between Asia and Africa. It also works on organizing meetings and conferences, documenting recommendations, and following up on the implementation of joint initiatives and projects that support sustainable development, peace, and stability in the region.
