The President of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council and First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, along with the accompanying parliamentary delegation, discussed the outcomes of the first conference of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council, which was held at the Lebanese Parliament headquarters in Beirut, in cooperation with the International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions (IFAATU).

The meeting also addressed a number of current issues in light of the rapid developments taking place in countries across the region, as well as ways to enhance joint parliamentary cooperation between Asian and African countries in confronting common challenges.
