Saud Al-Hujailan, First Vice President of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council, led the Council’s delegation participating in the 151st General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), with the participation of the Council’s Secretary-General, Dr. Fayez Al-Shawabkeh, held in Geneva, Switzerland.

This participation comes as part of the Council’s efforts to strengthen the Asian-African parliamentary presence in international forums and to play an active role in addressing global issues, while exchanging views with national parliaments and regional and international organizations.

The IPU General Assembly is considered a key platform for international parliamentary dialogue, where participants discuss the latest political and developmental developments, as well as global peace and security issues.
